Student Learning Support at Toronto Metropolitan University offers several resources for students, including math, writing and study skills support. The Math Centre supports Toronto Metropolitan students in all programs with their math skills and math-related courses. Writing and Language Support at Toronto Metropolitan University helps students to become better writers by engaging them in meaningful conversations about their writing. Study Skills and Transition Support offers workshops, individual and group help as well as peer tutoring to students to help them be successful. The Toronto Metropolitan University Library offers virtual services, programs, and various resources for students such as databases, journals, e-books, streaming services, data, and e-videos etc. The library also provides audio-visual services, workshops, instruction sessions, digital course readings, laptop and wifi loans, borrowing services, borrowing from another library, instructional services, and research help. The Ronald D. Besse Information & Learning Commons, located in the Library, provides access to a wide variety of resources with advanced technology and provides assistance to students to help them integrate technology into their academic pursuit.
Toronto Metropolitan University’s Scholarships and Awards office offers a range of financial assistance which consists of merit-based scholarships, need-based bursaries and awards based on academic achievement. Toronto Metropolitan University accommodates students in three residence buildings in traditional and apartment style rooms. Residence is not guaranteed for first-year students, and preference is given to students transitioning directly from high school and those who live furthest away from the university. All residence buildings at Toronto Metropolitan University are co-ed and feature the following amenities:
All residences come furnished and include Internet access, local phone service and cable television. Residence costs vary according to building and room selection. Mandatory meal plans are required and operate on a declining balance system.
Two of the residence buildings at Toronto Metropolitan University are accessible to students with differing abilities, and have barrier-free design features. Students who require special accommodations in residence will need to complete the Residence Accessibility Accommodation Request form (which must be signed by one’s health care provider).

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is comprised of subways, buses, and streetcars. Schedules and maps are provided for each of the TTC transit options.
The TTC offers accessible services on both their buses and subways. Accessible services on buses include kneeling features, ramps, lifts, automated next stop announcements, wheelchair and scooter positions, and priority seating. The subways provide accessible services such as wheelchair positions and priority seating. There are elevators at half of the subway stations, with the goal of the remaining stations to be accessible by 2025.
The TTC offers the Support Person Assistance Card which allows users of the transit system who require a support person to have this person travel with them at no additional cost. Persons interested in the support program must fill out an application form.
Wheel-Trans is a service that provides door-to-door accessible transit service for persons with physical disabilities. The TTC has established eligibility guidelines for the use of Wheel-Trans.
