Anishinabek Educational Institute offers Indigenous-led, culturally relevant post-secondary education on two campuses: 

  • The Nipissing campus is located approximately 5 kms west of North Bay, Ontario at the Union of Ontario Indians head office on the Nipissing First Nation. 
  • The Munsee-Delaware campus is located approximately 40 kms west of London, Ontario.

Student Wellness Programming

AEI offers a variety of student wellness activities throughout the academic year that are open to all learners and designed to support well-being in a holistic way. Rooted in the teachings of the medicine wheel, programming nurtures the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of wellness.

Tutoring

Tutors provide expertise, experience, and encouragement to students at Anishinabek Educational Institute (AEI). Tutors provide an important point of contact for students of the AEI and are a useful source of advice and guidance.

Cultural Support

Cultural support is provided through on-campus Gokomisak (Grandmothers) offer compassionate guidance and are deeply invested in students’ journeys academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Some of our Gokomisak are also available through our Student Support Line, a dedicated phone number shared with you at the start of each semester by our Student Wellness Coordinator. Our Gokomisak frequently lead activities in our Student Wellness Programming and other AEI events, bringing cultural knowledge and heart to everything they do.
