Oshki-Wenjack is located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. They work closely with Nishnawbe Aski Nation communities and partner with several post-secondary institutions to deliver their programming.

Health and Wellness

There are many health and wellness resources available to students as Oshki-Wenjack. 

Tutoring

Oshki-Wenjack offers tutoring to students, by reaching out to their Student Support Navigator. 

Elders Program

The Elder-On-Campus program offers services to students, such as counselling and referrals, cultural awareness, and traditional teachings.  

Financial Aid

Housing and Campus Accessibility

Housing

Oshki-Wenjack does not provide on campus housing.  For questions about housing options, please reach out to Oshki-Wenjack directly. 

Campus Accessibility

Oshki-Wenjack’s campus is centrally located in the downtown south core of Thunder Bay, close to bus transportation, and is accessible to people with disabilities.

Thunder Bay Transit

Thunder Bay Transit is comprised of buses. Full-time students at Lakehead University receive a Universal Bus Pass (U-Pass), which provides unlimited access to Thunder Bay Transit, included in their tuition. Maps and schedules are provided for every transit route that Thunder Bay Transit provides.

Accessibility

Thunder Bay Transit offers accessible transit with features such as low floors, kneeling capabilities, priority seating, and automated call stop announcements. Thunder Bay Transit offers a Support Person Pass, which allows users of the transit system who require a support person to have this person travel with them at no additional cost.

Thunder Bay Transit offers Lift+ which is a door-to-door specialized transit system, designed for persons with disabilities who are unable to use the conventional transit system. More information about Lift+ and the eligibility guidelines and application is provided on their website.
